MEMORIES OF KRIS

I went to work for Kris' grandpa the year that Kris was born.
Bob and Bonnie were so happy.  He was their firstborn son.

Kris grew up to be a fine lad, and his sister came a few years later.  They went to see their grandpa and grandma who had a large potato farm.

Kris ran our to his grandma's house, planted trees, mowed and trimmed the grass.  He helped me mend the fences, and ran ten miles home to finish up the day.

Kris was a devoted Christian, he loved and trusted the Lord.
His grandma was a great impression on him, for she would always say a prayer.

Kris helped me in the hay one day and I asked him what made him run so well.  He thought and said, I guess I run for grandpa who passed on while I was still in school.

He told his mom and dad, I am going out west to start my life's career there.  He worked on the farm a very long time, but that job would not be his career.

He joined the Park Ranger Crew.  He liked them and really loved that job.  That was going to be his life's career, but that would really be his downfall from life.

A drug dealer's bullet hit its mark and Kris heard the angels sing.  Bob and Bonnie were broken-hearted.  Kris was their one and only son.

God has the master plan, you see, so cry for Kris no more.
He has gone home to be with Jesus, and he's shaking his grandpa's hand.

God left Kris here for a little while because you know he makes no mistakes.  So believe and trust in Jesus and some day you will shake his hand.
