Will Your Killer Be Legal or Illegal? It Doesn't Matter. You Have to Die Sometime.
Les Blenkhorn - July 4, 2005
You've probably heard about 4 year old Esmerelda Nava who was kidnapped from her home near Talmo, Georgia (about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta) and murdered on Sunday, June 26. Her killer was, who would have thunk it, a previously deported illegal alien named Cornelio Zamites. What a guy.
Add her to a long list of people who wouldn't be dead or maimed if their attacker wasn't where they didn't belong -- in this country!
But wait, I'm going to tell you why I now think she deserved it, or at the very least why I think it was inevitable that she died in this horrible manner.
Most of us have heard of Deputy David March who was killed execution style by a many times deported career criminal named Armando Garcia. Garcia is still roaming free in Mexico. Also well known is Kris Eggle, a park ranger, who was gunned down in Arizona. His killers have yet to be found. But do you know about 18 year old Tricia Taylor of Detroit, Michigan? She will never walk again because of Jose Carcamo, a drunk driving illegal alien. He drove over a curb smashing Tricia against a wall and chopping off her legs above her knees. Do you know of the tens of thousands of other victims of illegal aliens?
The list really does go on and on... To get a feel for the magnitude of it, go to the section on crime victims at immigrationshumancost.org. Look at the picture of Tricia. Can you feel your toes right now? And on and on and on... But, come on, we still want those cheap strawberries, don't we? And on...
I used to belly ache to Terry incessantly, ask him. If these people hadn't been in the U.S. illegally, I would lament, then the only cop they could have killed would have been a Mexican cop. Or, the only woman they could have raped would have been one in their home country of Ireland. But, they couldn't have harmed someone in this country. An American. One of us. My brothers and sisters, your mother or daughter. If they had respected our laws, they wouldn't have been in this country to commit a crime, plain, simple. So simple, if our leaders could just see the logic.
Excuse me, I'm hearing voices in my head, "Cheap labor, votes, economy boosting population growth. Wow, I need to double my medication, or cut the dose in half!
A few years ago, I even sent a letter to an illegal alien loving U.S. Senator, is that redundant? The letter wished upon some member of his family a violent illegal alien, sexual predator, so this issue could hit a little closer to home for him. I forwarded it through e-mail around the immigration reform community; I caught hell for that one. The reform community was a very small town back then.
But now, even I have to admit my viewpoint was naïve and Pollyannaish. Usually, the best I got were blank stares. You could tell what people were thinking, what does it matter what their legal status is?
At some point even someone as outraged as I am over illegal immigration, has to give in and say, if you can't beat 'em join 'em. So now I've changed my tune. Here it is.
It was probably just little Esmerelda's time to go that's all. So if Jose hadn't had his way with her any number of other people would have. It was in the cards. Her fate. It was her time. It was inevitable. That's what we have to learn to accept. I mean if someone has to come half way around the world just to rape your daughter and then slash her throat, wouldn't that be the very definition of fate?
But did she deserve it? Well, I don't know. Maybe she gave Jose that certain look, or it may have been the seductive toddler clothing with the bulging diapers that did it for him. Maybe there was something about the way she sucked her thumb. She came on to him. After all, it's part of the Hispanic culture for men to be with woman much younger than themselves. American pedophiles have a saying, "Sex before eight because then it's too late. So if Hispanic men go for woman a lot younger, maybe they have some salacious saying in Spanish that rhythms with cuatro. I don't know.
Then I started thinking, Esmerelda Nava, could she be an illegal alien also? Or, at the very least an Anchor Baby. Would she have been safe if her family had stayed in Mexico, where they belong? Well you know, the newspapers or the news are never, ever going to tell you that. Because after all, we all know now, it doesn't matter.
