Uncle Sam Doesn't Want You, But We Do

Les Blenkhorn -- January 7, 2006

As the producer of The Terry Anderson Show, I believe Terry's success lies in his focus. He lets others talk about "The New World Order" and "Black Helicopters." Terry stays focused on illegal immigration, period. Focus, this is the mark of good leaders, and we need them. The opposition constantly tells us what a complicated issue illegal immigration is. They only say this to distract our focus from what is really a very simple issue.

Thankfully, a lot of Americans are now discovering their outrage over our open borders. Illegal immigration is now the biggest issue in the country, bar none. We have new, serious soldiers coming onto our side of this issue everyday, they need good leaders. I would be remiss not to humbly offer my perspective and focus to keep them from wading through the dozen years of lies and propaganda Terry and I have slugged through in order get to this point in time. A good leader knows his enemy: his haunts, his hideouts, his hacking of the truth. A good leader rallies the troops and conspires with them to impart his hard won knowledge in order to bring them to a common dedication, devotion, resolve and focus.

We face a triumvirate of turpitude: the federal government, the employers of illegal aliens and the illegal aliens themselves. All are responsible, only the first can trump the other two. These have to be our focus; these are my observations of them.

The Federal Government:

In many respects we are battling the perfect political storm. On the left the Statue of Liberty crowd contends that everyone deserves a better life, and on the right the cheap labor crowd has American workers pitted in a race to the bottom against low wage and compliant illegal alien labor. Look for this two-headed monster to reemerge this fall as Congress tries to pass legislation aimed at "immigration reform." "Immigration Reform," is politico code for, "We have to deal with this hotter than Hades issue, without deporting a single precious illegal alien worker."

I will tell you right now: No new legislation is needed! All the laws necessary to crack down on those who hire illegal aliens and to deport the illegal aliens themselves already exist. The federal government could deal with this unprecedented breakdown of law and order in an instant if it was so disposed, it is not. We have heard excuses from immigration law enforcement such as: "If we knew where to find them, we would deport them," well, just roll a bowling ball down any street in the country, you may get a strike! And, "The Social Security computers cannot be programmed to detect duplicate or phony numbers," O.K. give me a hung-over computer programmer, and a 5 minute coffee break and I'll fix that.

You can't help but think of the fed as a pimp supplying their corporate Johns with their illicit booty. It's beyond malfeasance; the feds are complicitous in breaking our laws. It's frustrating; who do you call when the federal government is breaking the law?

The Employer:

What kind of neighbor would sell something to a third party and then ask you to pay for his hired help? That's precisely what businesses that hire illegal aliens are doing. We are underwriting their illegal worker's health, education, and welfare while that neighbor gets rich. It's not cheap labor, it's cheap tax-payer subsidized labor. If cheap labor was the key to a vibrant economy, the streets would be flowing with gold in Latin America, they are not.

The rich have never had it so good in this country. I recently read that in 1989 there were 65,000 households in the U.S. worth $10,000,000 or more, now that figure is 430,000 households! How much of that astounding increase represents transference of wealth from the middle class to the upper class via tax-payer subsidized illegal alien labor?

Meet government of, for, and by the corporations. Borders are nothing but impediments to multi-national corporations. Finally, the effects of paying these subsidies are catching up with the middle class. They are mad. It is becoming more and more uneasy for government and business to have their shadowy alliance. But, until there is interior and workplace enforcement prohibiting the hiring of illegal aliens, the border isn't a border, it's just a finish line.

The Illegal Alien:

Meet America's new sacred cow, the illegal alien. They are a special class, a federally protected species. Illegal aliens are subject to none of the responsibilities of citizens, yet are the recipients of all of our largess. While millions wait in interminable lines to gain an invitation from our government to come to this country legally, illegal aliens have jumped to the front of the line. Illegal aliens do not walk to the gate and ask to be let in. They crawl across the border in the dead of night; they know right from wrong. They are not starving refugees; they come fat and happy for the American Dream they don't deserve, then they make a mockery of it. And ironically, the pain of all the Americans who have suffered at the hands of illegal alien murderers, rapists and drunk drivers is somehow worth it if just one anchor baby becomes a doctor.

Remember, illegal aliens are not immigrants! Immigrants are invited to a country. Illegal aliens break dozens of our laws to get here and dozens more everyday to stay. How many laws do you get to break?

Those are our enemies.

It is you and I who are making our stand for the future of this country in the middle between the left and the right. We are a small but rapidly growing army of American Patriots fighting the platitudes of the left, "They are just coming here for a better life," and the propaganda of the right, "They are doing the jobs Americans won't do." We must not accept "immigration reform," no new amnesties. We cannot listen to the timid who claim it is impossible to deport 20 million people. They will deport themselves voluntarily, the same way they came, when the employment laws are enforced.

If we allow an amnesty for 20 million people we might as well start planning one for 60 million and you'll be watching your outnumbered grandchildren trying to fight that futile battle. A battle it is our responsibility to win, now! I spend a lot of time in Latin America. All our politicians ought to have to take their orientation there to truly understand this issue. I have seen the demographics in Latin America, and I promise you in the coming years, if we allow it, people will arrive illegally from those countries and others in numbers that will make you think these are the good old days.

We need leaders. If you are a reader of AmericanPatrol.COM, you are a leader. You are in on this movement earlier than you think. Polls show eighty percent of Americans are outraged on any aspect of illegal immigration: schools, jobs, crime, housing. These latent patriots are waiting to come alive on this issue by the millions; they just lack someone to follow. It's not necessarily easy to be a leader, if it were anyone could do it. But, we need you! Now! As a leader ask yourself: Why, under a representative democracy are our elected officials ignoring us and preparing to legislate on the behalf of citizens of foreign countries when eighty percent of Americans are opposed to it? What happened to government of the people, by the people, and for the people? When did this tail of 20 million illegal aliens start to wag the dog of 300 million Americans?

Get your blood boiling! It's O.K. This is the biggest issue to face this nation since World War II, maybe bigger. So, it is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this, get involved. Be a leader. Those of us involved in this movement are making history. How many times in your life do you get to make history? We cannot build this grand army of patriots just to waste it in vain and fall upon our spears in the name of "immigration reform." My hope is that with your leadership we can forestall "immigration reform" until the Congressional elections of 2006 when there will be a cataclysmic bloodletting at the polls over illegal immigration. Be a leader and be dedicated to the great task remaining before us. Give of yourself so that this nation as we know it might live, and that our government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

My thanks to my favorite American, Abraham Lincoln.
